FAQ
Opt for LucidLink Classic if you’re part of a larger organization that relies on enterprise-grade features not yet available in the new LucidLink. It’s the ideal choice for businesses requiring advanced functionality, customization and scalability.
The new LucidLink is perfect if your team can hit the ground running without immediate access to enterprise-specific features. It’s streamlined for smaller teams or those looking for simplicity and speed right out of the box.
We are still expanding the capabilities of the new LucidLink. Features like SSO, filespace settings in the desktop client, custom snapshot schedules and API access for billing and management are currently only available in Classic (version 2.8 and earlier). These features will be added to the new LucidLink in a series of upcoming updates.
Yes! All Classic customers will have the option to upgrade once we achieve feature parity and the upgrade tool is available.
Our sales team will walk you through the different pricing options based on your team’s workflows. Reach out to sales here, or speak directly with your representative.
If you start with Classic, your pricing will remain the same for the duration of your agreement. Once it expires, you’ll be presented with the latest pricing options.
No data migration is necessary. Your filespace data will remain in place during and after the upgrade.
To access the new features ahead of the official upgrade tool, you’ll need to create a separate registration for the new LucidLink. The new product has its own database and billing structure. We appreciate your patience while we are actively working on the upgrade tool for our existing user base.
Classic supports advanced enterprise features such as SSO, filespace settings, API support and more. These features are designed to deliver the scalability, security, and functionality needed for larger teams and complex workflows.
Yes, this is fully supported. To do so, you'll need the desktop clients for both LucidLink Classic and the new LucidLink installed on the same system. Both clients can run concurrently, allowing you to connect to filespaces from Classic and the new LucidLink simultaneously. However, please note that Classic filespaces cannot be accessed through the new LucidLink app, and vice versa.
It’s time to LucidLink
No barriers to entry. Nothing new to learn. Known and familiar user interfaces that you choose for your team.
